INDUSTRY: Printing, folding, labels, and carton converting (Company has facilities spanning North America and Europe)
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Engineering (Mechanical) is a working manager, supervisor, coach, and mentor. Responsible for the activities of the engineering department. Looking for a promotable, seasoned Candidate, with a Mechanical Engineering Degree with printing, folding, labels, and carton converting experience. Someone who actually designed, built, rebuilt and installed printing equipment; someone with printing debugging and machinery modification experience. This person will most likely have proprietary information and hold several patents in the printing machinery sector. Absolutely must have built and designed the printing machinery from a leading Manufacturer of Printing Equipment or performed same for a leading Paper Converting organization.
Will also be responsible for reviewing designs, designing layouts on major projects, layout sketches on minor projects. Provide technical assistance to Maintenance, Production, and Project scheduling.

SUPERVISES: Staff - Engineering Department
EDUCATION: College degree[s] highly preferred. Mechanical Engineering
EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: 10-20 years experience in mechanical engineering function required. Must have printing background with paper converting equipment. Sheet metal experience a plus. Computer literate in AutoCAD 2000 i, Word, Excel.
Knowledge and experience with digital printing processes and equipment is highly desirable and would certainly give a Candidate priority consideration.
