LOCATION: US - MO- Missouri - Kansas City
INDUSTRY: Manufacturing - Plant Facilities
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Our client has a need, in several of their manufacturing facilities, for a Plant Engineering Manager (Most Immediate opening, Kansas City, MO). The incumbent will provide site leadership/accountability for all external relationships involving technical issues i.e. A/E firms, vendors, building codes, etc. This is a key role that requires excellent technical skills, leadership and management skills, excellent analytical skills; an understanding of continuous Improvement processes. This client is looking for a RESULTS DRIVEN individual.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This individual will be involved in site vision and change plans, will develop short term/long term business needs as well as develop and execute action plans. This individual will be heavily involved in teaching and training as well as acting as a motivator for his/her team. Must also be interested in the “nitty gritty” aspects of the position.
SUPERVISES: staff
EDUCATION: BS degree in Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical/Chemical/Electrical preferred)
EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT:
· Minimum of 4-6 years technical experience in project management, systems or process engineering, or technical discipline engineering in a manufacturing environment
· Demonstrated experience leading other engineers in a team environment, or managing other technical employees
· Strong track record of engineering aptitude, ability to apply engineering principles, and problem solving · Outstanding leadership potential, including experience leading others in projects or programs, and the ability to successfully interact with individuals representing other areas or interests
· Experience with progressive Maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment
· Understanding and experience interacting with multiple business functions/units, including Quality Control, Purchasing, Distribution, Human Resources, and Finance
· Ability to identify potential business solutions, including in other business areas or functions · 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· *Technically Deep
· *MUST have Maintenance Engineering experience specifically Facilities and Equipment maintenance · Experience with food or short shelf life consumer products environment
· *Team development skills
· *Capital product Management experience
· *Utility Management
· Food safety/Sanitation experience
· Energy Management experience
· Experience with Regulatory compliance and Budgeting
SALARY, BENEFITS, PACKAGE: 80K – 90K + bonus (full relocation and other benefits)
