I did my M.Tech MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING from INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, DELHI, INDIA. I am interested in job related to CMM and its automation. I did my project related to CMM titled "AUTOMATIC INSPECTION PATH PLANNING FOR INSPECTING SIMPLE FEATURES ON CMM USING CAD FEATURES".

Project (B.Tech.):--

BI-DIRECTIONAL SCHEDULING APPROACH IN SUPPLY CHAIN.
Bi-directional scheduling approach involves two fundamental approaches of scheduling, one is forward scheduling and other is backward scheduling. So, it considers due dates into consideration as well as shortest processing time as its criterion. This has been implied in the supply chain to show the effect of the scheduling in the supply chain. First, forward scheduling was implemented afterwards backward scheduling and finally bi-directional scheduling was implemented. Bi-directional scheduling gave minimum makespan.

Project (M.Tech.):---


AUTOMATIC INSPECTION PATH PLANNING FOR INSPECTING SIMPLE FEATURES ON CMM.
CAD drawings of a product, whose inspection has to be done, are the primary source of a planning system. The geometric features of the drawings are extracted to a file, which is useful for further processing by the automatic inspection planner. A program in C++ is developed, using the rule- based technique of the knowledge-based system, to generate the inspection path planning. This program is capable of generating the probing points along with the probing vectors and the near optimum collision free probe path. The output of this program is DMIS file. This file is fed to the CMM post processor so that the features of the component are automatically inspected in the optimized probe path. Alignment of the product has to be done manually before automatic inspection and the co-ordinates of this origin should be entered in the program. Finally these results are compared with the traditional methods of measurement.
