- Dwindling Market Share, Severe Pilferages, Excessive Manpower were the Major Problems at my joining.

- Pilferages were brought down under tight control, quality was

improved, therefore volume of business started rising, and improved

my tenure with them.

- Quantity volume rose by 60%.

- Forex Purchases were over UD $ 65.00 Million for this period.

- PROFIT CENTRE MANAGER : From 1987 to 1989.

· Largest Producers of G.I Buckets, G.I Pipes, Structural Pipes, Wire Mash, Asbestos Sheets, and Roofing etc

· Reporting to Group Managing Director – Steel Group.

- Over all in charge of the Unit.

- Low Volume of Business due to competition and financial malpractices were the major constraints at my joining.

- Market Share was improved by aggressive and strategic institutional marketing for G. I Buckets whilst Pipes and other products were imposed with a direct marketing strategy to achieve larger volumes and market share which directly increased the profitability.

- Financial Malpractices were strongly curtailed against threats.

- Banking Facilities were enhanced for the increased Business volume.

- TOWER ALUMINIUM LTD. (Ikeja)

- PROFIT CENTRE MANAGER - Holloware Divn. : 1984- 1987.

· Largest producer of Household Aluminium Pots & Pans,

· Reporting to Group Managing Director – Aluminium Group.

- Over all in charge of the Unit.

- Inadequate Marketing skills, product quality, Production Volume, excessive manpower, pilferages were the major bottlenecks.

- Sales were improved by utilisation of Strategic Marketing Skills, and Direct Market Strategy to gain more profit margin, as well as aggressively marketing to increase the market share.

- Production Capacity was achieved as well as product quality was improved due to tighter controls in the production process

- Excessive man power was trimmed down by introducing a Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) at that Era.

- Pilferages were thoroughly investigated and dealt without any compromise.

- Retrenchment was brought into action to reduce excessive man power.

Ø ALUMINIUM AFRICA LTD (COMCRAFT GROUP) – Dar Es Salaam. (Nov 1979 - Jan 1982). Later transferred to Nigeria.

- Reporting directly to General Manager.

- PROFIT CENTRE MANAGER : from 1980 – 1982.

· Manufacturers of Steel Galvanised and Black Pipes (PIPECO Divn.)

- Overall in charge of the unit.

- Inadequate availability of Basic Raw Materials due to acute shortage of Foreign Exchange.

- By aggressive liaison with Bank of Tanzania additional foreign exchange was obtained which directly increased the profits.

- OPERATION MANAGER : from 1979 – 1980.

- Overall in charge of the unit.

- Serious Engineering & Production Process Problem &lack of team spirit.
