Title : FEM Based Evaluation Of Member Stiffness For Bolt Fastened Joints

Reliable estimation of member stiffness plays an important role in safe design of bolted connections. Different methods of estimation of member stiffness are available in literatures, which are limited to finite variations of parametric values. In the present work, the member stiffness is representation that is function of proposed non-dimensional parameter. Wide range of bolt sizes, washer dimensions, plate thickness and material properties are considered for characteristic curve evaluation of member stiffness. Linear elastic finite element analysis is employed for the evaluation member deflection and stress distribution. This project work was carried out using the analysis software ANSYS 5.4.

Mini Project:

Title : Frequency Response Of Vibrating Human body in Standing Posture

In this project work the frequency response of the human body is plotted for different base vibrating conditions. It is assumed that the human body is assumed as a spring-mass-damper system. The each and every part of the body is assumed as a spring with damper and joint as lumped mass. The project work was carried out by harmonic analysis in ANSYS 5.5.
