TECHNICAL SPECIALIST - CNC Programmer – Cap/Bone Screws

Position Description:
Responsible for supporting the manufacture of orthopedic implants in the Cap/Bone Screws Cell in the areas of programming, manufacturing engineering, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and any other functions necessary for the team to meet it’s customers needs.

Essential Functions:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for: writing and editing programs using G and M code and parametric macro programming; setting up lathes and screw machines as well as programming issues related to a fully automated cleaning and passivation line. Designing fixtures and gages; project management and frequent communication with vendors concerning products, forgings, tolling, fixtures and gages; providing technical support for quality control, process improvements, cost savings, process development projects and product launches; training and development of operators; writing operation specifications and supporting quality documents; writing and submission of capital expenditure requests.

Other Functions:
Fixture design. Gage design. Develop P. M. schedules. Specify and purchase equipment.

Special Conditions / Requirements:
4 +years experience in CNC programming in a production/manufacturing environment. Strong PC skills along with Pro E and MasterCam experience is needed. Effective analytical skills with demonstrated success in problem-solving. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred.

Salary 55-75K + bonus
