Domain : Digital Image Processing / Machine Vision

Technical Work Content : Algorithm development , implementation and software development for scientific research and new product development in digital image processing

Digital Image Processing Filtering for image enhancements geometric image correction, image restoration, and noise and distortion removal.

Quantitative Image Analysis Segmentation of images to identify the separate objects, measuring those objects, and conducting statistical analysis of the results. measuring objects ranging from small dots inside human cells to stars in astronomical images. Modelling the system that formed the image and then develop algorithms to extract accurate measurements from the objects. Experience in handling the special problems that emerge when trying to measure continuous objects in a digital image.

Pattern Recognition Quantitative image analysis followed by classification of the objects on the basis of their measurements, and a statistical analysis to test specific hypothesis. Experience with linear discriminant, maximum-likelihood, Bayes', and nearest neighbor classifiers, to name but a few.

Digital Image Coding and Compression Data compression ratios with little or no distortion of the image. The wavelet transform and compression possibilities for commercially important problems.

Essential Software Skills: Digital Image processing, C, C++, Unix/Windows, Embedded SW knowledge, Concepts in Imaging, Algorithm Development, Design and implementation of the algorithms into useful software packages

Desirable Software Skills: Digital Signal Processing, Software Architecting

Soft Sills: Should have very good communication and interpersonal skills, team building capabilities, cross cultural skills and business development capabilities

Experience: 8+Yrs

Role: To Start, Develop and Manage the Imaging R&D group. Architecture, Design and Development of Imaging products in lines of commercial importance for HCL Technologies Ltd. Responsible for marketing the R&D’s expertise with the existing clients of HCL in the areas like Automotive SW, Avionics, Semiconductor, Biometrics, Biomedical, Factory Automation etc. Should have good project execution skills and will be responsible for whole lifecycle of the project/Product. Should handle proposal making, Estimation/Sizing delivery management, Quality etc. Should handle the Cost, Resource Planning, RampUp - People / Skills, Utilization, Performance Management , Attrition Mgt, Institution / Culture Building.
