Product Manager

The client is a fast growing company developing automated inspection and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and PCB industry. The company is poised to grow to 100 Million plus in the next three years. Utilizes cutting edge software technologies including real time machine control programming, multi-threading, GUI programming and ActiveX controls.

The Product Manager is responsible for delivery of wafer inspection systems – currently for the macro inspection program. This position reports to the Manager of Development Engineering. Specific responsibilities include coordination of final product design and manufacturing, and development and deployment of acceptance test procedures, product documentation, parts lists, training and field support. Functions reporting to this position include QA and tech writing.

Priorities for 2001
· Coordination of final design between engineering and third party design group
· Set up production and acceptance at third party manufacturer
· Set up and QA procedures for software releases and product options
· Establish processes to monitor customer satisfaction
· Coordinate product certification with third party test provider
· Deliver manuals, training, parts lists, etc. for product release

Required Skills
· Significant experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing and/or support
· Experience in development of customer training programs
· Experience in SEMI standards and related certification procedures
· Proven ability to identify critical path issues and develop remedies
· Project management / use of MS Project
· Communication skills – written & verbal

Preferred Technical Skills / Industry Specific Requirements
· 3+ years customer support for semiconductor inspection systems
· 2+ years manufacturing of semiconductor inspection systems
· 2+ years programming experience
· Experience in material handling controller programming and wafer robots
· 20-25% travel, primarily international
