TITLE: Design and implementation of wireless modem using radio packet controller.

Responsibilities :Involved in Design and Development.


1. Cost effective method of ading radio communication to any RS-232.

2. Provides Duplex communication between transmit and receive mode.

3. Transceiver provides 64 different channels selected by DIP switch.

4. RPC used provides buffering of incoming serial data
and checks for communication errors.

5. Serial Communication at 2400 Baud rate.


This project was carried out at Bharat Electronics LTD as a part of study curriculum.The wireless modem developed can be used for various activites like fire alarms,remote access,medical alert/nurse call systems.
Project design involves the use of RPC(AT90S2313)as a midmable between the Host Computer and the client.Client can be a network or device to be accessed connected to RPC via radio connections.Main function of RPC is to receive /transmit data from /to host and process the same.RPC buffers the data received from either side in RAM,after performing erroe checks on data received ,it forms the readio packet data to be transmitted to client side.Incase of data received from client ,itdeframes the packets and send it to host in RS-232 compatible format.
