Provide in-depth knowledge and experience in the development/evaluation of Dairy Foods packaging. Leads project teams and has responsibility for specific projects/objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Originates protocepts and technical approach to achieve tactical and strategic project/business objectives. 2. Develops technical/business resource evaluation for research project plan. 3. Conducts research utilizing experimental method (design, procure, prepare, conduct, record, interpret, report). 4. Coordinates project activities, evaluates progress and leads team members towards the achievement of tactical project/business objectives. Communicates results to upper management as appropriate. Projects include: a) Investigate, develop and commercialize new packaging systems. b) Identify and technically prove cost savings derived from packaging changes. c) Analyze and solve package and packaging machinery problems. d) Propose and implement improvement to existing packaging machines and lines. 5) Documents research processes. Proactively seeks to improve processes.

Essential Competencies/Behaviors: Technical Competency: Solid understanding of Packaging Engineering. In-depth technical knowledge of packaging materials, forms and systems. Familiar with food chemistry, formulation and processing. Proven technical problem-solving ability. Leadership Competency: Proactive leader that can achieve results through cross-functional teamwork with internal and external resources. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple, rapidly changing priorities. Focused to achieve customer expectations. Communication Competency: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical/business partners/customers. Ability to achieve accelerated timetables while maintaining cooperative working relationships.

Required Education/Experiences: Typically BS, MS or Phd in Packaging with at least 5 years experience in food packaging development.
