Working for a start up Southern California, the Process Development Engineer
will work closely with our R&D team in the design and bringing to production
new devices in the telecommunications industry. The selected candidate will
perform process development and material characterization for the
manufacturing of InGaAsP and InP-based telecommunications devices.
Responsibilities will include the fabrication of InGaAs and InP MQW devices
using III-V processes, ie., wafer cleaning, photolithography, metal
deposition and InGaAsP/InP selective etching. Additional responsibilities
include semiconductor characterisation of wafers using I-V processes
including; thin film stress measurement, transmission and photo-electric.
This position will be responsible for preparing devices and wafers for
prototype production and is responsible for developing and optimizing
process steps from prototypes to mass manufacturing.
A minumum BS Degree in an optical related field such as Chemical
Engineering, Material Science, Physics with an MS
or Ph.D. degree or equivalent in experience desired. Three plus years
hands-on experience in Process Development in a Wafer Fabrication
Environment or its equivalent is required. Knowledge of III-V
optoelectronic devices physics
is highly desired.
