We are searching Engineering support for our Jonesboro, Arkansas facility. As a Manufacturing Engineer driven by excellence, you will:
> Design, develop, install, improve and/or document new and/or existing processes/equipment utilizing lean manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement processes to assure the highest quality, least costly manufacturing processes.
> Develops process documentation, labor standards, and routings for all manufacturing processes, and ensures all processes comply with corporate policy in areas of health, safety, and environmental assurance.
> Analyze Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) and prepare documentation for Requests of Quotes for tooling and equipment required to produce parts to specifications.
> Apply ergonomics and safety knowledge to assess and design work place safety and engineering control systems and develop training on appropriate use of such controls
> Troubleshoot operation issues with Operations and Production teams on a daily basis – spends a significant amount of time on shop floor.
> Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) to develop and design fixtures, tooling, equipment, and plant layouts.
Your experiences will include:
> Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Technology, or equivalent and a minimum eighteen months of engineering experience
> Strong knowledge and successful experience with lean manufacturing, demand – pull or one-piece flow techniques, Value stream mapping and line balancing.
> Working knowledge of complex and/or highly technical equipment preferably CNC or woodworking machinery
> Ability to effectively work with diverse, cross-functional teams and to motivated /support these teams to meet or exceed business objectives.
> PC skills required including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and basic CAD systems
> Influencing and communication (verbal & written) skills and to accurately describe manufacturing and machinery processes to members or suppliers
> Ability to work in a results-oriented team environment
