This opening is in the New Orleans area. Salary range will be dicussed over the phone or in person.

The Client company is a world leader in providing innovative wireless data communication solutions using proven state-of-the-art spread spectrum technology. With over 2 million nodes in operation, this company has enabled cost effective replacement of wire and cable in industrial, commercial and residential applications worldwide. The Client company was the first company to commercially exploit spread spectrum under FCC Part 15. Since 1986 they’ve made wireless better, more accessible and provided more solutions to diverse problems than any other company today. The Client Company licensees hold the most FCC Part 15 spread spectrum approvals. Their scalable technology is the most versatile in the market today.

Requirements:

Candidate will have a BSEE or BSCS and interested in communications signal processing. Specific areas of design experience that we find most appealing are:

Embedded microprocessor / digital design
State machine
Digital signal Processing (DSP)
Data demodulation
Command control interface

Bench equipment skills a plus (Oscilloscope, logic analyzer etc.)

Programming Skills:

Assembly: client's preference is: Microchip, Intel 8051, Zilog Z8, Zilog DSP 8932x, Analog devices DSP 218x and Shark
C or C++

Software tools:

Compiler / programming environments
Logic verification / simulation
