In recent months, you may have noticed that Oxford Instruments Superconductivity have been recruiting for a large number of Manufacturing Technicians.
As a result of this recruitment activity, we are now looking for a number of more senior people to manage these new teams.
We need people like you who use agreed measures, best practice processes and continuous improvement methods to monitor, evaluate and improve our performance. Particularly with regard to such issues as quality, on-time delivery, yield, re-work and scrap.
You will manage up to 25 people and must therefore have strong and proven people management skills that are second to none. This should include objective setting and monitoring as well as developing and training your team.
A flexible attitude and approach to changing requirements and priorities will also be needed. You must be used to managing a £5 million turnover business and be fully accountable for quality, cost and delivery. Your qualifications will include technical competence either through qualifications or experience such as time served apprentice, as well as previous people management skills.
