Marketing & Sales

Sales and Marketing Engineer (SME) I
The primary objective of the Sales & Marketing Engineer
is to support increased revenue. The SME performs pre-sales,
technical support. The SME will be challenged to solve
customer problems by providing technical assistance to
our sales representatives, major account representatives,
international distributors, value added resellers (VARs),
and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The SME must
possess a broad understanding of embedded software such
as Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), TCP/IP networking,
File Systems and Java technologies.
Requirements: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree: Technical
field, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Programming,
two year's experience working in pre or post-sales
support, technically assisting with the sale of embedded
systems software solutions and services. Must have proven
ability to positively interact with customers, experience
or an inclination to work in a sales environment. C/C++
and assembly language software development experience.
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal
communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel
up to 40% domestically and internationally.

Sales Representative - Inside Sales
The primary objective of the Sales Representative is to
increase revenue. As an Inside Sales Rep you will be
prospecting, acquiring, developing, and maintaining
direct, commercial, U.S. accounts. Work with business
customers to provide technical product information,
quote prices, negotiate, and close on an ongoing
basis. Provide consultative selling to commercial
accounts including analyzing needs and recommending
solutions. Assist in execution of agreed upon mission
in targeted territory. Responsible for achieving sales
goals.
Requirements: A qualified candidate will have excellent
telephone and closing skills, strong verbal and written
communication skills, and demonstrated out-bound selling
ability. Technical aptitude and ability to rapidly learn
product specifications and configurations is critical.
College degree recommended, 5 years experience in high
tech sales and excellent attendance.

Engineering

Software Engineer - TCP/IP
The primary purpose of the TCP/IP software engineer is
to develop, enhance, and support U S Software's expanding
embedded networking product line. The engineer will work
with the TCP/IP team to develop new protocols while
ensuring the networking technology integrates seamlessly
with all other technologies. Opportunities to work with
high level protocols and low-level drivers will exist.
Requirements: A minimum of an undergraduate degree in
computer science and/or software engineering, and at
least 2 years related experience in embedded systems.
Familiarity with TCP/IP and its associated standards are
required.

Senior Software Engineer - VoIP (H.323)
The primary responsibility of the Senior VoIP Engineer
is to take a leadership role in the continued development
of U S Software's VoIP technology based on the ITU H.323
standards. The engineer will work with a motivated team
to produce the best technology to fit the needs of
U S Software's customers. The engineer will have
opportunities to develop new technologies based on
H.323 such as video and teleconferencing support.
Requirements: At least a Bachelor's Degree in computer
science or related engineering field, 2 years experience
with H.323 protocols, familiar with TCP/IP, strong skills
in C, and familiarity with 32-bit cores.

Senior Software Engineer - RTOS/Platform
The platform/RTOS engineer will take a leadership role
in extending U S Software's Real-Time Operating Systems
into the future and spear heading projects involving the
integration of U S Software's technology with third
party technologies. The engineer will work with industry
standards such as POSIX, uITRON, and OSEK. In addition
the engineer work closely with other project team members.
Requirements: At least an Bachelor's Degree in computer
science or related engineering field, 5 years related
experience working with embedded operating systems.
Strong skills in C and various assembly languages,
strong familiarity with multiple 32-bit CPU architectures,
knowledge of embedded operating systems.

Support Engineer
This entry-level position will respond to telephone/email/fax
calls from customers who purchased or are evaluating
U S Software products. The engineer will work closely
with the customer to resolve any issues they may have
with U S Software's TCP/IP stack and file system.
Solutions found by the engineer will be recorded and
integrated back into U S Software's technologies to
ensure future stability and customer success.
Requirements: At least an undergraduate degree in
engineering or related field, and working knowledge of:
Win95/98/NT, C programming language required, x86
architecture and tools, TCP/IP protocols, make files.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Software Engineer - Floating Point
The Floating-Point Engineer will take on the leadership
role of all engineering activity relating to
U S Software's IEEE 754 floating-point technologies.
The engineer will work with U S Software floating-point
team to make the best in the world better by
developing targeted embedded floating-point solutions.
Requirements: At least an undergraduate degree in
computer science and/or a related engineering/science
field, at least 3 years experience with embedded
systems, and compiler experience. Strong oral and
written communication skills with presentation
experience, familiarity with 32-bit CPU, strong personal
management skills, and skills in C and assembly
languages.
