The ASIC Verification Engineer will be a key individual contributor on a team responsible for conceiving, planning and implementing software and hardware systems required to validate Storage Area Network (SAN) systems. This individual will work closely with the ASIC and hardware development teams with the goal of delivering quality ASIC silicon for advanced storage. Responsibilities: Develop ASIC verification strategies that span simulation, hardware emulation (FPGA), and real-silicon environments; Write ASIC verification test plans that encompass ASIC block-level, full-chip and SAN sub-system-level functionality; Analyze, design, develop code, document, and test ASIC verification test suites; Migrate test suites developed in the Verilog simulation environment to both hardware emulation and final silicon lab verification environments; Write high level monitors and stimulus models to automate the verification process; Participate in estimating verification development schedules and ensure on time delivery. Skills Desired: Proven high-level individual contributor in team-based development environments; Experience with ASIC verification process and methodology; Knowledge of Verilog simulation environment: Verilog simulator, waveform viewer, bus functional models, & debug tools; Knowledge of microprocessor-based systems; Lab test and debug skills including use of ICE, logic analyzer, and bus analyzer; Knowledge of C and assembly language programming; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Experience with storage I/O sub-systems (SAN, NAS, RAID, disk drives); Knowledge of Fibre Channel, SCSI, Infiniband, PCI, networking, and/or client/server environments. Experience Required: Position grade level is commensurate with experience. Multiple positions are available. Education Required: BS in EE, CS or CE is required, MS is preferred.. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
