Salary: $85 - 150K + Incentives (Bonus, Overtime, etc)
Education: Bachelors Degree Electrical Engineering
Experience: 3 years or more
Requirements: ASIC, SOC, Apollo, Planet, Perl, Physical Design, Virtuoso, Star-RC, Synopsys, Hercules, Chrysalis

The engineer will be responsible for the physical design of 200K-250K gate blocks that are part of a 16 block SOC semi-custom flip-chip network processor. Clock speeds are up to 200MHz. Target process is 0.18um, 6LM process. The project uses a hierarchical, timing-driven methodology using Apollo and Planet, interconnect extraction using Star-RC, chip integration using Virtuoso, formal verification using Chrysalis, and layout verification using Hercules. The engineer would also be involved in evolving the design methodology beyond its current capabilities, including the evaluation of Synopsys' Phys-Opt tool, developing further layout automation scripts using Perl, etc. Minimum Requirements: Must have 3+ years experience in ASIC place and route at the module level, including some experience with timing-driven and hierarchical flows. Experience using Apollo, Planet, as well as scripting using Perl, is highly desirable. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Locations: Boston, Austin, Ottawa, Toronto, San Diego, San Jose, Huntsville, Raleigh, Simi Valley (Los Angeles), Seattle, Anywhere Nationwide

International candidates wanting to relocate to the US with exceptional skills are also desired.

Travel: can be 0 to 100% depending where individual lives.

Note: Most Projects will last 3 months to 2 years, company will relocate individuals and families to prolonged work sites. However, most assignments will be in the above mentioned metropolitan areas.
