BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Provide manufacturing analysis, simulation modeling and industrial engineering consulting assistance.
* Analyze manufacturing problems and specify and help implement solutions.
* Increase production capacity and profitability of existing assets.
* Reduce capital investment required.
* Reduce inventories
* Reduce operating costs
*Improve distribution logistics

Ability to assess material flow issues in a manufacturing process, laboratory, or plant site environment and warehousing and/or distribution issues in a business/manufacturing environment. Knowledge of how to determine the type and amount of data needed and collect that data. Ability to analyze business and manufacturing data to understand existing material flows and optimize future, planned material flow needs for a manufacturing process, laboratory or site. Ability to analyze business , marketing and manufacturing data to understand existing warehouse operations and optimize future planned warehouse/distribution needs for a business at a site or region. Ability to develop and evaluate alternative proposals which meet business needs.

* Manufacturing Systems Analysis (MSA)
* Process Simplification/Value Engineering (PS/VE)
* Continuous Flow Manufacturing (CFM)
* Operations Simulation Modeling
* Math programming//optimization
* Supply Chain Analysis

Familiarity with material handling equipment and systems, warehousing, and inventory and distribution equipment and systems. Ability to use a variety of computer tools including spreadsheets, databases, and simulation packages such as ProModel to aid in analysis of the data.

BS Engineering - ability to use and learn new computer tools - good oral and written communication skills-good presentation skills-ability to work in a team environment with people from all job levels - ability to work independently - some background in probability and statistics-strong interpersonal skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Advanced degree in Industrial (manufacturing) Engineering/Operations Research a plus. - Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously- Travel required 25% 2 - 4 days duration - Background in maintenance and plant operations a plus-Flexible hours can be arranged when coordinated with business needs
