As it continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, there is an outstanding career opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer at ALSTOM’s Rochester, NY location.The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following:· Provide technical leadership to the team working on the project.· Resolve field test issues relating to the design.· Provide technical input for customer manuals and provide ISO required technical review of all customer manuals supplied for a project.· Conduct all internal technical reviews (PDR, CDR, FDR, etc.)· Understand the customer requirements in terms of needs and translate them into specifications in order to amend contractual specification or influence a tender specification.· Assist project management in the development of the resource loaded schedule and provide input to the updates.· Provide technical input to the preparation of claims and/or change orders for a contract.· Contribute to proposal writing effort.· Interface with the customers on design issues and attend technical meetings.The qualified candidate will have the following:· 8-10 years experience as a Systems Engineer.· Knowledge of network/telecommunication basics a plus.· Knowledge of systems engineering standard (MIL-STD-499B or IEEE 1220) a plus.· Membership of INCOSE a great plus.· B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; MSEE a plus.Thank you for your interest.For immediate, confidential consideration, please apply online: http://www.irecruiter.com/job/id?ess-r217-B
