We have a wonderful local client, a 50-year old Company who designs and manufactures components for the aerospace
industry. They are steady and growing, with a total of 150 employees. One of their Business Units has an IMMEDIATE
opening for a design engineer. 1-3 year's experience. Will work in a department of about 16 people who custom design and manufacture electrical, non-electrical and electro-mechanical components, all for the aerospace industry.
Looking for :
1.AS or BS degree in any technical discipline, EE or ME or Aerospace preferred
2.At least 1 year experience (co-op, intern or school experience is ok, too) in design.
3.Manufacturing and/or shop floor and/or assembly experience
Aerospace experience and experience with MIL-specs (military specifications).
This is a TEAM-oriented position. This person will be working closely with the department's quality engineer, manufacturing engineer, salesperson and assembly workers. This position will require some interaction with customers. Candidate will also be assisting in the preparation of design and sales proposals, writing the requirements from specs, doing the design, and assisting in the the overall sales process.
