Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the General Manager Product Marketing & Engineering. Your basic objective is to take overall responsibility for the effective supply of rough castings and outsourced finished machined cast components for the Industrial Product lines.

Key areas of Responsibility

Manage the supply of castings and outsourced finished machined components to achieve quarterly targets for on time delivery of the key components.

Develop and implement "fast track" arrangements at point of order acceptance to minimise delays in placing casting order on Industrial Product lines.

Identify and set up supply chain improvements consistent with cost reduction targets set.

Evaluate potential new suppliers

Co-ordinate the effective implementation of our pattern policy.


Key Knowledge & Skills

Experienced in Engineering, Commercial and Manufacturing disciplines associated with Industrial products business.

Ideally will have knowledge of casting manufacture processes, methodising & pattern equipment

Strong influencing/leadership skills required coupled with the ability to co-ordinate cross-disciplined activities requiring a driven management style.

Sound technical and commercial understanding of the business

An ability to maximise on the human aspects of the task by getting the best out of internal and external contacts through maintaining good relationships.
