Relevant Experience:
Consultant: 1989 to Present - Have resolved a diversified number of manufacturing and management-related challenges by analyzing employee productivity and highlighting situations detrimental to profit, tracking item costs, selling price logic, and production team training. Some situations have required full charge of plant operations in order to bring about rapid cost containment and profit turn-around.
Retained by some of the world's largest rotomolders.

1973 to 1989 - Rotocast International. General Manager of Southwest Profit Center. From one employee to twenty-eight and a profitable $2.3 million in sales. Texas Division consistently exhibited minimal scrap, salary expense, outside service charges, freight expense, carry-over, down time, returns, utilities expense, and customer complaints all while maintaining the maximum production efficiency, inventory markup, gross profits, OnTime delivery, and reorders. Developed a complete line of marker buoys, uncovered new markets for older flotation device product line. Development of additional product lines
including discovery of new market for "out of vogue" furniture line placed sales reps and moved tonnage into state institutions.
Expansion of pet products line including the development of new molds. Initiated new product lines using re-ground scrap from sister plants to create viable products. Personally handled all custom molding orders from concept to completion. Studied intricacies of federal procurement procedure resulting in the award of several government contracts. Nurtured a reliable team which still functions well today.

1972 to 1973 - Amerotex. Vinyl rotomolder. Initially visited on consulting basis, recognized great need and interesting challenge, but did not realize financial condition. Reconstructed after major fire. Gained thirteen months of invaluable education.
Sold out to Rotocast.

1971 to 1972 - Consolidated Record Enterprises, Nashville, Tennessee. Working manager operating shop and rebuilding. selling, and installing used presses, dies, mastering lathes, electroplating equipment, hydraulic units, boilers, cooling towers, extruders, shrink wrappers, and other appurtenant equipment. Installed machinery and trained operators throughout the eastern U.S.

1957 to 1971 - National LP Rotomolding, Ohio. Initial employment during high school as mold polisher. Promoted to maintenance supervisor by age 21 and plant superintendent by age 29. Developed principles and procedures still standard in the industry today. Experience with molds, ovens, cooling, valving, inflation, multi-color and multi-stage painting, pad printing, plastisol compounding, pumping and dispensing, elevators and conveyors. Installed a blow-molding line. numerous rotocasting machines, paint re-circulating equipment, and plastisol compounding equipment. Added two new buildings.tripling plant size. Took company from long history of losses to its current profitable state.

1967 to 1970 - Concurrent start-up of machine shop handling both "job" and automatic screw type business. Located. purchased, moved, installed and wired all machinery. Eventually rebuilt every machine. Designed and built automated machinery to handle monotonous operations. Familiar with all types of precision measuring instruments. Developed two types of cutting fluid which increased productivity. Sold business profitably.

Civic Involvement: Served elected and appointed terms as councilman, mayor, chairman of local planning commission, regional planning commission member, zoning committee chairman, zoning appeals board member. State president of Ohio
Music Appreciation Association. Editor-in-chief of monthly newspaper for same.

Educational Background: Graduate Ashland High School, Ashland, Ohio. Majors: Mathematics, English. Graphic Arts. International Correspondence School - Associate - Mechanical Engineering. Other studies include blue print interpretation, drafting, heating/lighting, electricity, steam, physics, hydraulics, and audio technology.

Summary: Demonstration of strong leadership ability in all situations. Keen ability to pinpoint source of problems and commence solving them without elaborate means or fanfare.
Diversified experience allows utilization of previously proven methods, minimizing trial and error.
