Chemically formed ceramic coatings are used to pump parts like casings, impellers and plungers to overcome abrasion and corrosion.

Inside parts of casings and impellers can be coated. (These were not possible with conventional processes).

The coatings are very hard and highly inert. They can withstand variety of chemical fluids. They can also perform against fluids contaminated with solid particles like fly ash, bone ash, silt, effluent, etc.

It is possible to grind the coated parts like plungers for precise dimensions.
