My company has a 16 ft. Thompson Surface Grinder for sale. This machine was purchased by my company in the Spring of 1995 from a machine dealer from the Twin Cities area. The machine was rebuilt, but never used at the time we purchased it.

There are no chucks on the machine, but we have a few chucks that aren't being used that we may be willing to include.
In March of 1999 the ball screw was rebuilt.
New thrust bearings were put in.
The hydraulic motor was either overhauled or replaced with a new one.
The table was sent out for sealing as it appeared to be leaking coolant into the way oil. In talking to our Maintenance Lead Man, they were unable to seal the table and that is the reason the machine was taken out of service.Please contact me thru e-mail if interested.
