Design Machine is a company that specializes in design and
prototype work, as well as short to med. runs. Because we specialize in these fields, our fees are usually much lower than the larger shops that are geared up to do large runs. They simply don't have the time, and in some cases the resourses, to do design, prototypes, one-of-a-kinds, and or short runs, and therefore must charge higher rates. Our most popular work is the designing and building of assembling and or test fixtures for large companies. We make it very easy for the customer, once we have worked with them for awhile and get to know their needs and wants, all they do is give us a sample of the unit they want to test or assemble and we take it from there. We will custom design and build a fixture that will do just what they need. We have designed and built everything from a simple small fixture to hold a wire in place while the operator inserts a screw, to large elaborate systems that allow the operator to drop the unit to be tested into our fixture, pull a handle and it inserts dozens of wires and plugs that are hooked to the computer to run the tests. The time saved by these units is incredible and they pay for themselves very quickly. Our turn around times are very quick, and we stand behind everything we build. If you, or anyone you know, can use our servises, please contact us at 401-783-0487 or email us at dcsmachine@edgenet.net and we will get back to you asap. We can send you many pictures of units we have designed and built in the past so you may get a feel for what we can do. We have: CNC, milling, turning, drilling, grinding, TIG & MIG welding, as well as a full fabrication shop and painting. Our units are always complete, we are a "one stop shop" and pride ourselves on this. Our shop is in R.I. if you would like to stop by. Thank you for your time, we hope to hear from you soon, Duane Sherman / pres. Design Machine.
