Alex, I saw a demonstration of this alloy given by a neighbour of John's who is travelling around the country pedalling the stuff. It seemed to work somewhat as well as the site suggests.

He applied the alloy to a very light piece of aluminum in two ways: first he showed how easily it could be built up and that it was fairly strong; second he heated up the piece and virtually smeared it over a large gap. The second demonstration didn't seem to be that strong of a repair, ie., the LTR 720 broke away from the aluminum, whereas with a proper weld, the aluminum itself should have broken first.

It seems to be a good general purpose repair tool, but I too would like to know more about it before I buy any, and I don't see any other sites anywhere that come up when I search for it, which is surprising if it is a "wonder rod."
