I need to clean a large Concentrated Sulphuric Acid (98%) storage tank - 29m dia. 10m height
with domed roof (apex 15m from floor). After cleaning, we need to go in & inspect the tank.
It was suggested to us to use a tank cleaning machine (high pressure rotating spray nozzle -
cleaning medium water with corrosion inhibitor & added ammonia), the water will collect into a
holding tank from drain point & recirculate. The intention is to bring down the concentration
& pass thecorrosive zone ASAP. The question is how do I sized the nozzle, flowrate,
pump head required, etc. so the water spray envelope & mask all internal surface of the tank &
the rate is sufficient to avoid any damage to the steel.
Thanks for your time.
