The Cobalt alloys Stellite 6k and Talonite have
been described as "hard facing" in terms of their
crystal structure. What exactly is this for example
as compared to the structure of a high alloy blade
steel like A2? What about the carbide structure of
the Cobalt alloys? Does the extreme amount of alloy
elements in those materials all form carbides? What
is the grain size?
