Please attach a picture or location of an ad for those rails your looking for.
It sounds like we are playing the same game , but I'm not completely sure what particular kind of rails you mean.
Everyone seems to have their own name for almost the same product
I have a lot of locations for surplus catalogs on the net.
I have not connected my compound slide yet as I'm not sure if I will need it. I have a geared stepper motor ready to use ,but it will interfer with the tail stock.
I didn't go for zero backlash nuts on the lathe as I expect to use the CNC part to cut the 2" X 4" bar down to the 1" X 1" I really wanted to start with. Once I am close I will finish most things in jog
The CNC makes much nicer parts than I can do by hand.
You don't happen to live in Illinois do you ?
I live close to a town called Rochelle
I had origonaly wanted to make some steam engines
But have had so much fun redoing the machines I never seem to get around to it.

Have fun
