First check the geometrical accuracy of your machine if it is good. Get in touch with the Retrofitter Company in your region. We do a lot of CNC retrofits on Conventional lathes and milling machines in India.
We replace Lead screws with Ballscews and fit AC / DC servo motors and Drives for Axes. We also recondition mahcine guideways and fit antifriction coating on the sliding members. Generally The spindle is left as it is or is driven through ACVFD which controls existing AC induction motor. We generally prefer Siemense 810 T / Fanuc OT for lathes. Any way In Europe lot of Pc based controls are available.
Call me with specifications of your machine.
