I had that problem but traced it to a bad smd board
By switching boards(but blew a transister in another axis)
also you need to check the amperage on the axis drives,
according to the manual 8.2 amps another thing
is the transistors are different than mine,mine
are NTE 53 I think they are rated for a much higher
voltage than 2n3055
