9. Experience/Expertise:
I have been in the industrial bar code business since 1977. I have a
PhD in Polymer Chemistry, specializing in inks, adhesives, and
coatings for printing technologies. The first company I founded in 1982
(Imtec,Inc.) specialized in bar code printing systems for harsh
applications: PCB, ceramic, hot metal marking. Polyonics, which I
founded in 1995, specializes in label materials designed to withstand
temperatures in excess of 1100 degrees F; they withstand the most
chemically and physically abrasive environments used in industry today.
We feel qualified to host such a forum, and help guide people to useful
information and solutions for their bar code technology problems.

11.Forum Title: Bar code identification issues Forum

12.Brief Description of Forum:
PCB manufacturing technology changes influence all aspects of manufacture,
including the bar code identification used. Price/performance, printing
technologies, and data integrity are the issues.

13.Welcome Message to Our Friends:
Welcome to the bar code identification issues forum. We expect to provide
an interesting place to discuss bar code technology issues, especially
as they pertain to industrial labeling. We have been able to network with
dozens of industry experts in scanning, printing, and labeling to provide
help to the toughest questions, including the world of 'harsh environment
labelling'. High temperatures, chemical resistance, and 'survivability'
of the image provides the focal point for or 'reality based' forum.

We look forward to many lively discussions with you.
