For those that do not know what a MicroSwitch does.

MicroSwitches are versatile tools for connecting computers and peripherals using the common serial (RS-232) and parallel (Centronics) interfaces of your equipment. The Switches accept over 20 commands controlling the flow of data. They can be used automatically or controlled by interactive menus. Applications for the Switches include office automation, CAD/CAM, machine control, data collection, local area networking, telecommunications, retail point-of-sale, and many more.

The user manual included with the Switch gives a detailed step-by-step instructions of installation. Black Box also has 24 hour technical support.

If you have a business or home office you would like to set up multiple stations to work together and with other devices without spending a lot of money on a LAN this item is for you!!

I hope that helps give an understanding!
