: : : I need a service manual for a Motorola R2001-A
: : : service Monitor. Especially need schematic for
: : : power supply section, since I know there is a problem
: : : there!
: : : Location: Colorado USA Fax: 914-831-1872
: : : email: mohaase@nilenet.com
: : Do you still need this manual ?? I have it I can copy power supply pages for you.
: : What is wrong with unit? Don
: Yep, I still need it.
: The processor board has about 2 volts or less powering the logic. Scope tube filament glows
: and there is a large round dot on face of tube when powered up. There is a 2-3 watt ww 1 ohm
: resistor in the power supply that got hot enough to melt the solder on the leads.
: Thats what I know so far. I took the power supply electronics chassis out and inspected it,
: but did not take the power transformer out to try to run the supply on the bench. That will
: probably be the next step. If I knew the power supply output voltages, I might try to kludge
: up some external power supplys to check out the rest of the unit.
: Marty

This power supply that you are talking about is it in a mateal cage with a lot of screws
.Located inside in the rear middle of the unit?? Send me a part number.. Don.
