Does anyone know of a SIMM-compatible memory device that is non-volatile. I expect flash RAM would be too slow, but what about a battery-backed static RAM. The intended use is in an electronic keyboard, in order to preserve sound samples when powered-down.
An expected problem would be random write-cycles on power-down.
Can anyone help ?
