I'm wondering if anyone knows what the current technology status is for strain and
temperature measurement using fiber optics. How are engineering companies
currently measuring teperature and strain in large structures?

I'm also wondering if using a reference set for strain measuremtn as oppsoed to Bragg
grating is obsolete. What is the market for a FO system that requires a reference set
to compare for strain?
