I recently received a reply to a post I made to a newsgroup regarding a new industrial control system design I am developing. It was recommended that I use General Instrument transorbers or movistors instead of diodes or zeners across the relay coil to prevent spiking. I'm interested in investigating this option, but I'm not familiar with either component, and can't seem to find any information about them anywhere. Any advice would be helpful.
