What I was really after was at least 8meg of memory, battery-backed up. I could maybe make up a SIMM card using those low-power mode chips you mention.
I think the real problem for me would be to get something that worked in place of EDO/burst mode etc.
SIMMS.
Any more info you get would be appreciated. I really do need a SIMM-style connection as it is to work in existing equipment.
