I have kept GWBASIC and have kept in use first with Windows 95 and later with Windows 98. As you can imagine, I have a lot of time invested in my GWBASIC programs.
The other day, I had the opportunity to try using GWBASIC with Windows 2000. I was able to load GWBASIC.EXE and one of my applications, the application worked fine, but I could not exit from GWBASIC using the "SYSTEM" command. The command "SYSTEM" merely produced a "Syntax Error" message. I had to use Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of it. Does anyone know why and what the remedy might be? Thank you.
