I might add that in most cases, the suffix is somewhat inconsequential. As a general rule, the suffix differentiates among package styles (ceramic, plastic, DIP or the many SMT styles) or among enhanced devices (e.g., a "B" suffix might be a higher-GBP op amp than an "A" suffix).
