We are to use 16 pieces of SAA7114 with a SM2210 to make a 16-channel digital video recorder and encountering a problem in multiple Slave Addresses of I2C. On page 81 of the 7114 data sheet, the Write Slave address for 7114 is 42h, how should I do to put 16 pieces of 7114 and hence assign 16 addresses on a board, what are their allowable addresses?
On page 16 of The I2C-Bus Specification 2.0 by Philips, I know that I can program the Programmable part of Slave Address. What kind of hardware I need use to program the I2C address? Is there any Programmer made by Philips you provide to us?
