I found an amp/receiver at the local dump and decided to take it home and play with it. The electronics seemed to work so I guessed that the amp chip might be blown out. For $15 I decided to risk that that was the issue and ordered the appropriate chip: STK4171V. The new chip that came, however, has 22 pins instead of the correct 18. It is labeled as an STK4171V, the chip I wanted. Any thoughts on what I should do or why this chip is different than the other one?
