Can anyone help me who knows how to make a good RF oscillator (crystal and no crystal oscillator types) to
transmitt data? I have tried dozens of circuits explained in books and they ALL HAVE FAILED (these guys must not know what they're doing!). Is it impossible to send an electromagnetic wave through space? I am about to say so. Maybe it's magic. I am trying to make a project that sends binary data using RF radio waves and detect/decode it using a reciever/decoder at the other end. I know there are RF modules you can buy to make this but I can't use that cause it's a school project and I am required to build it from scratch. So any help is helpful. Thanks.
