I'm not sure what you mean by "rewiring".. but if you mean add the two extra lines (black and yellow?) to the existing two (red and green) that phone line uses, then your phone company would have to do it since it requires their end to be connected to a central office...


if your phone jack already has the 4 wires, all you have to do is rewire the two extra wires to an ethernet adapter plug so you can attach it to the dsl modem, which I think is your situation...

If you look at end of a phone cord, it only uses the inner two lines, which means your dsl will use the other two and you have to rewire your phone jacks' outer two wire into a Rj-45 plug.
