I recently got this Hewlett Packard UPS and battery pack. However, I didn't get the phone-style communications cable that goes between them. Can anyone tell me the pinout of the cable and whether or not the unit will work without the cable? Right now it's complaining about a problem on the output and I don't know if there's a real fault or if it's just confused because it can't talk to the battery pack.

I can't get any info from HP because they abandoned this unit some years ago.
