I am doing a project on how to see the pattern of phone conversation (spurt or gap)..I try to connect the telephone line tapper to another circuit which is the gap detector. Gap detector is a circuit where it detects the spurt or gap pattern in the telephone conversation . This gap detector is connect to the EVB board (microprcessor controller , 68HC11). So , my problem is that i do not know how to build the circuit of the telephone line tapper and connect it to my gap detector circuit. For your information the gap detector circuit consist of two diodes and several resistors. When there is a gap diode 1 will blink and when there is a spurt , diode 2 will blink and diode 1 is off...Can u give me a suggection on how to tap the phone line . I have tried many circuit but everytime I run the program , the telephone is off hook. So I guess there's problem with the phone tap circuit. Can u give an opinion on how to go about it..... Thank you
