I dont know if this is maybe a bit too technical a message to be posted here, but as part of my final year project at university I am required to simulate the switching dynamics (ie turn off time) of a pnpn junction thyristor. My first objective is to simulate the turn off time of a pn junction diode.
I have already calculated the minority carrier concentrations throughout the diode for DC currents however I cant workout what happens when the current is removed and the diode is allowed to discharge.
Any help would be greatly apreaciated even if its just pointing me to a more appropriate bulitinboard.
Thanks in advance Colin
