I'm trying to make a homemade heater for the optical surfaces of my telescope.
I envision using a 40 Ohm nichrome loop for the optical
plate(end plate) with a variable 16 volt train transformer to give me 6W
maximum power. Will this work? Can I put 2 add'l 100 Ohm
loops in parallel to also heat my finderscope and eyepiece?
It's been too many years since my high school electronics course.
