Message:

Can I use the toroid core for low power flyback smps? (not switch mode regulator) It's very comman to use E and cube core at the standart applicatios, I know that I believe flyback action needs the air gap for unsaturation. I would like to know why the toroid core is not used at the low power applications, less than 10 watts. If there is any reasons I appreciate to know the technical details. Thanks.
