On the lookout for a rather uncommon CAP for replacement in
an old CT-709 solid state Hitachi TV set.
The characteristics consist of .068uF 1kV electrolytic
non-polarized CAP which makes it a rare find... unfortunately
Hitachi no longer stores parts older than 7years, or so they
claim... and the set dates back from August of '77.
A polypropylene replacement had been considered however I'm
not sure whether it would be a good choice for what it seems
to be a CAP in the flyback / horizontal deflection region of
the circuit.
Any info in obtaining such a CAP or a very near equivalent
would be well appreciated for many stores and suppliers have
been consulted without much success...
As well, service manual or plain schematics for particular
model (CT-709) would also be greatly appreciated... thank you!
